Beloved Patterns! The inspiration for the new knitting magazine comes from the iconic wallpapers of Pihlgren and Ritola
Beloved Patterns & Pihlgren and Ritola is a new knitting magazine, featuring unique handcrafts inspired by the beloved wallpaper designs from Pihlgren and Ritola Wallpaper Factory. This lush magazine includes 20 previously unpublished knitting patterns by top Finnish designers. The magazine was released in Finnish on January 25, 2023. The English translation will be published on 1st November 2023.
Beloved Patterns & Pihlgren and Ritola brings the patterns seen in interior design to clothing for the first time, of course, hand-knitted! This 124-page magazine includes stunning variations of designs such as the Auringonkukka, Kirsikkapuu, Kukkatarha and Kukot.
The designers behind the patterns in the magazine are some of Finland's most popular knitwear designers, including Anna Johanna, Anna Tanskanen aka Anjuknits, Ronja Hakalehto, Niina Laitinen, Mia Sumell, Sara Rönnback, and Minttu Wikberg. The difficulty level of the instructions ranges from easy to intermediate.
From the Beloved Patterns & Tapettitehdas Pihlgren and Ritola magazine, you will find instructions for various stranded knitting socks, sweaters, circular yoke cardigans, and jackets, hats, mittens, and a lap blanket. The magazine's knitting patterns feature yarns such as Novita, Sandnes Garn, Tukuwool, and Pirtin Kehräämö. The chosen yarns are favorites among Finnish knitters, and some of them are also available internationally or can be substituted with local yarns.
